Mission Statement
The mission of
the ADAG is working towards alleviating the poverty and
suffering of the Somaliland rural population and seeking
appropriate ways to improve socioeconomic status of poor women
and men affected by poverty.
Vision
ADAG’s vision is that
rural population will have access to basic services and could
achieve sufficient improvement to their living conditions.
Aims
1.
To promote development work
for poor women and men in pastoral and agro-pastoral areas..
2.
To improve rural population
access to basic services.
3.
To support indigenous
organizations in those communities.
Principles of
Operation
Government
involvement: ADAG will be advocating and lobbying in favor
of different Government ministries and local government taking into
account the needs of the rural populations within their area of
operation.
Participation:
ADAG will be focusing on the importance of the rural populations to
take part in designing the services that poor women and men consider
necessary such as: capacity building, vocational training...
Education:
ADAG will support a number of rural schools and work towards
awarness raising of the poor women and men in importance of
education. And where appropriate specialized education is to be
considered for mobile populations.
Health:
ADAG will also work in favor of the health care for rural
populations to be provided within existing health services at all
levels. Referral to specialized services should take place when
general facilities are unable to provide the necessary treatment.
Information and
public education: ADAG will be encouraging comprehensive
public information about rights, contributions and unmet needs of
rural populations, that would reach all concerned, including the
general public.
